
AYŞEGÜL KUTLAY
Dr. Ayşegül Kutlay is a technology leader specializing in decision support systems, data science, and software engineering. She earned both her master’s and Ph.D. degrees in Decision Support Systems from the Department of Health Informatics at the Informatics Institute of Middle East Technical University (METU).
With over twenty large-scale projects under her leadership in development and management roles, Dr. Kutlay has been serving as the VP, Engineering at Inavitas since 2022. In this role, she leads the development of critical systems in the energy sector, including power plant monitoring, asset performance management, SCADA, DMS, workforce, outage, and Volt-Var management systems.
Building on a strong academic foundation in artificial intelligence, machine learning, data science, and decision support systems, Dr. Kutlay possesses deep technical expertise in microservice-based software architectures, cloud technologies, high-availability systems, and software process management.
Her analytical mindset, systematic approach, and interdisciplinary perspective enable her to guide digital transformation projects that demand both technical excellence and strategic vision.
By leading cross-functional teams, she enhances efficiency in the design and implementation of complex systems, maintaining a balanced focus on technology, quality, and operational performance.
In addition to her industrial achievements, Dr. Kutlay has contributed to international academic literature, including a book chapter in Current and Emerging Health Technologies published by Springer, focusing on health informatics and technology adoption. She continues to bridge academic depth with industrial practice, delivering innovative solutions in the fields of energy and digital transformation.
Beyond her professional life, Dr. Kutlay is also passionate about the arts. She plays the flute and engages in oil painting, charcoal drawing, and traditional tile painting. In her spare time, she enjoys exploring nature and taking long walks with her dog.
