
CANAN ŞİŞMAN KORKMAZ
She completed her undergraduate studies in Physics in 2001 and earned her master’s degree in Physics at Middle East Technical University (METU) in 2006 with a TÜBİTAK scholarship. In recognition of her outstanding performance during her master’s studies, she was awarded the Institute Award in 2005.
Between 2007 and 2016, she served as a Scientific Programs Specialist at TÜBİTAK, gaining extensive experience in R&D support, project development, and management. During this period, she actively contributed to the evaluation and monitoring of numerous R&D projects. From 2017 to 2019, she worked with TCDD on EU-funded R&D projects as a Project Manager and R&D Consultant.
With nearly 20 years of professional experience in R&D, her areas of expertise include national and EU funding programs (particularly TÜBİTAK), project management, R&D project development, R&D center management, and fostering University-Industry collaboration.
Since 2021, she has been serving as the R&D Center Manager at Inavitas, where she continues to lead and oversee innovative research and development initiatives.
Married and a mother of three, she has nurtured a lifelong passion for reading since high school and enjoys traveling with her family in her free time.
