
MEHEMET KOCAOĞLU
Mehmet Kocaoğlu was born in Kayseri in 1985. He graduated with a bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Middle East Technical University in 2007.
He has over seventeen years of experience in the energy sector and has been involved in the planning, management, and financing of energy projects on a national and international scale throughout his career. He has served as a consultant on energy transmission, distribution, and regulation projects supported by international organizations such as the World Bank, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, and the United States Agency for International Development, contributing to important work in investment planning, regulatory framework development, and strategic management.
Kocaoğlu began his professional career in 2009 as a Project and Investment Engineer at TÜPRAŞ. He joined MRC Turkey Consulting Inc. in 2012 and has served as its General Manager and Chairman of the Board of Directors since 2017. He also continues to serve as a Board Member at Akenerji Electricity Production Inc., Sakarya Electricity Retail Sales Inc., Tomtaş Aviation and Technology Inc., and Proşarj Electric Vehicle Charging Systems Inc., all of which operate in the energy sector.
Kocaoğlu, who has led numerous projects in the fields of international renewable energy integration, smart grids, and energy storage technologies, has contributed to the modernization of energy infrastructure in countries such as Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Ukraine, and Palestine.
In Türkiye, he guides pioneering work in electromobility, energy storage, and digital transformation; he provides guidance to the sector in the areas of electric vehicle charging infrastructure, energy transfer from vehicle to grid, and smart charging strategies.
His areas of expertise include strategic management in the energy sector, investment planning, renewable energy integration, digital energy solutions, electromobility, and energy storage systems.
