LVM – Low Voltage Monitoring

Assess low-voltage requests and hosting capacity via a web workspace. LVM shows distribution companies the impact of new loads and generators before grid connection.

MANAGE YOUR LV NETWORK

What LVM does

LVM is a web platform that helps electricity distribution companies evaluate low-voltage connection requests and network capacity on a single screen. It assesses how new customers, residential, industrial, or distributed generation, impact lines, transformers, and voltage.

Using existing data, network topology, customer records, and meter readings, LVM calculates capacity, voltage drops, transformer loads, and power conditions. It indicates if the network can support new demand or generation and provides a Connection Analysis Report for decision-making.

Why LVM

Key benefits

LVM helps distribution utilities move from manual, fragmented LV checks to a traceable, data-driven connection process.

Faster connection decisions

Standardize how new demand and generation requests are evaluated with repeatable LV studies and Connection Opinion Reports.

Better use of capacity

See the true loading and hosting capacity of each transformer, including reverse power from producers, so you can safely unlock more capacity.

Fewer surprises on LV lines

Analyze current-carrying limits and voltage drops in advance to identify weak points, avoid overloads, and reduce costly reinforcement at the last minute.

Platform for LV analysis data

Work from up-to-date network, customer, and meter data pulled from existing systems, instead of chasing spreadsheets and separate tools.
Process

How LVM works in practice

Select area & scenario

Pick a feeder cabinet or LV area from the map, then define the scenario – new consumer, producer, or mixed load/generation profile.

Run LV capacity analysis

Pick a feeder cabinet or LV area from the map, then define the scenario – new consumer, producer, or mixed load/generation profile.

Issue connection opinion

Review the results and generate a Connection Analysis Report that clearly states the network’s condition and the impact of the requested connection.

Key capabilities at a glance

Book Your Free Session
Connection analysis workspace

Create, manage, and compare LV connection scenarios for residential, industrial, and distributed generation customers in one digital workspace.

Transformer & line capacity views

See loading and hosting capacity for transformers and LV lines, including reverse power flow from producers, to understand true headroom.

Power & voltage insights by feeder

Analyze active and reactive power on each feeder cabinet, along with voltage performance, to spot operational issues and weak spots.

Map-based, integrated interface

Work on a geographic map that overlays LV assets, constraints, and analysis results, powered by automatic integrations with network and meter systems.

Systematic approach

Part of one unified system

LVM is one of a core application in the Inavitas utility stack that gives planning and connection teams a trusted low-voltage network view. It works brand-independently with the customer’s existing environment, or with Inavitas utility solutions when used, so teams can base decisions on real topology and metering data, not assumptions. Connection Opinion Reports and capacity insights can then be shared with stakeholders and systems to guide reinforcement plans, DER integration, and long-term LV investment.
