What inavitas RTUs & Gateways do

RTUs and gateways collect signals from protection relays, meters, IEDs, and sensors and translate them into standard protocols for your SCADA and analytics platforms.

They poll devices over serial or digital interfaces, buffer data locally, and forward it securely over IP networks or cellular links. This lets operators see real-time status, events, and measurements from remote sites without replacing existing field equipment.

With flexible I/O and communications, the same hardware can be used at distribution substations, renewable plants, industrial facilities, and microgrids.

RTUs & Gateways

MCU++

Master Controller Unit + With Linux Os

MCU++ is a high-performance industrial controller based on a 32-bit, 454 MHz ARM CPU and Linux OS. It is ideal for demanding remote applications in solar power plants and electricity distribution networks. MCU++ integrates GPRS/GSM, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, digital inputs and outputs, and a datalogger into one device. With 2 built-in digital inputs and 2 digital outputs, plus dual Ethernet and serial ports, it offers highly flexible connectivity to SCADA systems, field equipment, and control centers.

DIO

Digital Input / Output

The DIO module provides monitoring and control for up to 16 digital channels. High-impedance inputs reduce current draw and improve noise immunity with hysteresis and an anti-bounce filter. A 32-bit change register tracks input state changes for diagnostics and logging.

DIO also includes 8 isolated solid-state relay outputs, each configurable as latch or unlatch with a defined time. Through the DIO configuration software, users can set input polarity, filter times, serial communication parameters, output latch times, and enable “Test Mode” to adjust and verify all inputs and outputs during site commissioning.

WHY RTUS & GATEWAYS FROM INAVITAS

Key benefits

RTUs and gateways help you bring remote assets online without rebuilding your entire infrastructure.

Talk to an Expert

Connect legacy  and modern devices

Integrate protection relays, meters, IEDs, and sensors using standard industrial protocols, so old and new equipment share the same data model.

Reliable data  from remote sites

Buffer measurements and events locally and resend on recovery, so you don’t lose history when communication links are unstable.

Flexible  networking options

Use Ethernet, serial, cellular, or VPN-based connections to fit different substation, plant, or field conditions.

Secure,  centralized operations

Enforce role-based access, standardize configurations, and send commands from your control room instead of ad-hoc field work.

How Sensors & Controllers work

Connect devices & I/O

Wire digital inputs, outputs, and serial links to relays, meters, and sensors at the site. Map signals to meaningful points such as breaker status, alarms, and measurements.

Configure protocols & links

Set up Modbus, IEC-104, DNP3 or other supported protocols, and configure IP or cellular communication to SCADA, ADMS, or cloud endpoints.

Stream, control & analyse

Stream real-time data and events to central systems, send remote commands (open/close, reset, mode changes), and use the collected history for analysis and reporting.

Key capabilities at a glance

Book Your Free Session
Multi-protocol support

Poll and control devices over Modbus, IEC-104, DNP3, and other standard protocols from a single RTU or gateway.

Edge logging & buffering

Store measurements and events locally so you retain a complete history even when network connections drop.

Secure remote commands

Send switching commands and configuration changes through authenticated, logged sessions for safe remote control.

Scalable architecture

Deploy the same RTU or gateway design at multiple sites for easier maintenance, upgrades, and fleet-wide standardization.
